Royfuss is mainly a personal blog for me. I generally post my thoughts on things that I like. Interests include: technology, video games, movies, music, etc. If you were with me with the old website, then you know the gist of it. A few things that I felt were not relevant anymore have been stripped from the site. These included downloads, forum, media, and links.
I added new pages though. I added an “Online Hits” section. If I find an interesting article that I want to share, then I’ll post it there, along with my thoughts on the subject of the article. It’s something I have wanted to experiment with for a while now.
Tutorials was added so I can post tutorials, obviously. This kinda replaces the need for a downloads page, because I can just post a link to any downloads required for tutorials. It’s kind of experimental right now, but we’ll see how it evolves.
Royfuss Sites is brand new. At first you might think this replaces the old links page. You would be wrong. This will act as a portal to any websites that I create or help create. I create random websites and this’ll be a great place to find a quick link to them (especially if I don’t purchase a dedicated domain for it).
Writing is a passion of mine. I love taking thoughts in my head, and turning them into words that somehow form coherent sentences. If something is spending a lot of time in my head, I figured a website would be a good place to share. I don’t expect anyone to visit, but it’s nice to know that the world has the option of catching a glimpse of my thoughts and beliefs.
I enjoy web design as a hobby. I’m not good at creating graphics or assets, but I think I do a pretty good job manipulating them and designing layouts. I started designing websites at a young age when I first learned how to view a web page’s source. I then taught myself what all the different HTML tags did. From there, I learned CSS and basic PHP. I love technology. I started building computers at a young age. From there, I learned how to troubleshoot computer issues. I love tinkering with computers and using them to create web servers, file servers, and media servers. My favorite server OS is CentOS. My favorite desktop OS is a tie between Windows 10 and Linux Mint, right now.
I enjoy movies, television and music as well. I like to blog about music. Either about a band in general, or about a new album. My favorite band is Linkin Park. I don’t blog as much about movies, but sometimes they do sneak in there. I don’t really have a favorite movie, but I do like watching the Back to the Future trilogy. For television, I enjoy M*A*S*H, Scooby Doo Where Are You, Breaking Bad, Parks and Rec, Fargo, Game of Thrones, many of the Marvel shows, and so many more.
Video games are also a passion of mine. I enjoy playing them and writing about them. I’m mainly a single player gamer, but I do enjoy playing games with friends, either online or sitting in the same room and connection consoles/computers together. I’m pretty much game to play any genre of game. I keep up to date on the video game industry, and I generally blog about it. I also like to write up reviews, even if a game has been out for a few months. My favorite Nintendo franchise is any proper Mario game, with Mario Galaxy 2 being my favorite. My favorite Sony franchise is God of War. My favorite Microsoft franchise is Gears of War. My favorite third party franchise would have to be Assassin’s Creed.
