Games of 2023 – Introduction

Do you smell that? The video games I played last year are starting to smell a little rank in my mind. I need to flush them from my brain, and make room for new ones. If you have not been around for my annual post about video games, then you are in for a treat, my friend. I do not just talk about video games with release dates in 2023; no, I talk about most of the video games I played in 2023. You can view a summary of past years here. This year was a big year for video games. Apparently, I went balls-to-the-wall, because I played over 50 games! Here is a spoiler, but I do hope you stick around. This year broke personal records for both number of games played, and hours played per year since 2015. Because the data before 2015 is not 100% accurate, it is, also, possible I broke some all-time records.

Since there are so many, I have decided to split “Games of 2023.” I will sticky this post for a month or two to act as a table of contents. I will release new sections throughout the month of January. “Retro Games” is available to read right away! I will try to stick to the scheduled noted below. Overall, it will follow the same format as previous years… just way longer. The games in each post are presented in the order I played them.
