I finally did it. I finished Roy’s Mystery, and I remastered it. Here it is for your enjoyment. What a journey the last 20 years has been.
It is not flawless, but I am happy with the way it turned out. Of course there are some plot holes; it was written by a 15 year old who thought it was a good idea to write a mystery without knowing what happens next. Then, I tried to finish it ten years later. Finally, I did finish it another ten more years later. Considering all that, I think I did a good job.
Spoilers follow for Roy’s Mystery. There is a ton I would have done differently. I would have either gone deeper into the element stuff, or just omitted it all together. I would have done more to reinforce the fact that Jacob was surrounded by people who wanted Jeff dead, but they didn’t know Jacob didn’t want Jeff dead. I would have gone more in depth with Jeff’s mental illness.
However, I worked with what I already had. Hopefully you enjoy it.
