Bands (2005)

I created Bands for an assignment in my high school web design class. It is a simple site, with a main page and three subpages; one page for each band. I preserved the outgoing links, so some of them are broken, and potentially malicious. Beware of clicking those.

I suck at creating assets, but I had fun making the banners. It is mostly images from the bands' websites. Most of the information is from their Wikipedia entries. I have not updated the information. A lot has changed for each of the bands over the years. The Linkin Park page used to play In The End. The code for the music does not work anymore, because it uses an outdated tag and the Windows Media Player plugin. I did not recode it in, because of copyright laws.

The code is not too complicated. It uses anchors, tables, frames and lists. I had to redo some of the code to get it validated under the modern web standards. I removed a lot of "center" tags. Also, I converted it from frames to iframes.

Overall not a bad first website.
