I finally finished my archiving project… mostly, anyways. You can view it here. I, also, added it to my sites page. It took me almost two months of completely focusing on it to finish. It required the work of twelves Python scripts, and a lot of manual review. I am really happy with the results.
There is still work to be done, but I don’t want it to be my primary focus. I need to a do an in-depth review. Each post has a “master” post, which the build script uses to build final formatted post page. I need to review these to make sure they are complete; I am worried my scripts that built those files might have missed something. I, also, need to make sure the build script did not miss anything from these master post files. This will be a long process; I expect to get less than ten a day done. While I do that, I will also build a list of interesting posts to act as a curated “Greatest Hits.” I’ll take the list, and build a dedicated page for them.
With that done, I can finally take care of some life things that I put off. You might have noticed that Royfuss Games hasn’t been updated in a month; that’s because I haven’t played any games! I need to do that.
Oh, I also realized that Pico automatically switches between dark and light themes depending on system preferences. The sites I use Pico on did not look good in the dark theme, because I did not know it was enabled by default. I have turned off dark theme on those sites for now. I might work with them and get a dark version working. However, I need a break from web design stuff.
