“Let’s Play” videos are a thing on YouTube right now. If you haven’t heard of them, they are videos where someone plays a video game and they usually do commentary over the game. I don’t watch a lot of “Let’s Play” videos, because I’d rather play games than watch someone else play them. However, I do watch one person regularly who does mostly “Let’s Play” videos, and I wanted to highlight him. His name is Markiplier, and he’s a cool guy. Marikiplier usually uploads about two or three videos per day, which is an impressive amount. He plays mostly indie … Continue reading

WiiU Impressions

I bought a WiiU recently. Nintendo released a console bundle that came with a copy of Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD. Wind Waker is probably my favorite Zelda game, so it was a no brainer for me to buy the console that came bundled with it. There aren’t any games I want for it right now, but I’m sure I would have gotten one for the new Super Mario 3D World. Anyways, enough of why I bought it; Let’s get into what I think about it. Setting up the console went pretty fast. It comes with an HDMI cable, … Continue reading

More Stream Information

First, I want to point out the Twitch Schedule off to the side. No, to the right. No, a little lower. It says, “Twitch Schedule.” There ya go. Glad you found it. Anyways, I posted times that I am most likely to be streaming, as well as what I am currently streaming, and any future games that I will stream. Currently, I am playing Saints Row IV. I didn’t want to stream it. I wanted to bask in all of it’s glory. It was a good choice. Which brings me to my second topic. It’s a lot of work to … Continue reading

DMC: Devil May Cry Review

Terabytes of Sensitive Data

DMC: Devil May Cry gets a lot of flack that it doesn’t deserve. I’m not seeing why fans of the series would NOT like it. There’s a lot here that I think is pushing the series forward. Maybe I don’t know better; I’ve only played the first Devil May Cry and it has been a long time. Let’s see how this series has progressed. I think the main gripe that DMC gets is the main character, Dante. I don’t remember much from Devil May Cry PS2, but I’m pretty sure he was a wise ass. In DMC, he’s still sassy. … Continue reading

Capture and Streaming

Update 2: Stream has ended. Keep an eye on the sidebar for future streams. UPDATE: Stream will start at 1:00 p.m. central time. You may have noticed that my Twitch Channel had some activity yesterday. I sted out a few games. I began testing some Torchlight 2. Streamed flawlessly. Did some Far Cry 3, which is more intensive. No problems. Was able to play the game at my native resolution (1680×1050) and stream them at 720p. I can up the streaming resolution if I wanted to, but people with crappy internet wouldn’t be able to watch without stuttering. I was … Continue reading

Twitch Logo

Look to your right… what do you see? Is that a Twitch Channel for Royfuss?! Why, yes it is! I don’t know how much it’ll be used, but I do have some plans for it. I invested heavily in a second PC that has a super rad capture/streaming card in it. In theory, this will allow me to play my games without stressing my PC any further, while streaming to Twitch, or just capturing data. That PC should be here by the end of the week, so you’ll probably see me do some testing. I’ll announce ahead of time when … Continue reading

Replace A Broken Playstation 3 Controller Trigger

A note before we start the guide. This is the second time that I’ve had to replace the same spring in the same controller. I decided to document it this time to hopefully help you out. With that said, I am NOT responsible if you break anything. Also, my broken spring will look slightly different because it is a replacement spring from a floppy disk. I like the Playstation 3 (PS3) controller, but I’m sometimes aggressive with the triggers. As I mentioned, this is the second time I’ve had to replace a spring in this controller. You’ll know a spring … Continue reading

A Few Things

Hello. I’ve been lax in my updating, because I’m me. But hopefully I’ll be updating more periodically. The thing is, I never like the look of my websites. I generally like the layout, but colors make me sick after awhile and I neglect the site. To fix this, I decided to download a theme instead of creating one. I found a nice theme that allows me to easily edit and change colors and other things. I like it. So I’ll be implementing that soon. Things to lo0k forward to. I’ll have a tutorial up soon, so the tutorial section will … Continue reading

In My Time of Gaming

Dunk Hunt

<Insert cliche about growing older>. I’m not that old. Mid twenties. For a person who plays video games, that’s still not bad. It’s seems weird though. I’ve been playing video games most of my life, and I don’t think I will ever stop playing video games. However, I think how I play games will change (not just innovations in technology, like motion controls and touch… although those are part of it). Being a little kid, I played video games. I also played trucks, played with Legos, did a ton of outside activities(we had a large yard when I was really … Continue reading

Assassin’s Creed 3 – Crafting

Assassin's Creed 3 - Crafting

I almost started this post with “alright.” I realized I do that a lot. My first video game post in a long time. Let’s see if I still have a valid opinion. I’ve put over 40 hours into Assassin’s Creed 3, and I’m about 10 sequences into the 12 sequence story; I’ve done a lot. I absolutely love the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and Assassin’s Creed 3 is one of the best games in the series. I highly recommend the game, especially if you have followed the series this far. If you haven’t been following the series, I recommend starting from … Continue reading
